Hello there!  I’m sorry I was missing for so long.  My family and I have been going through the rounds of one bout of illness after another for weeks.  We even spent some time in the ER with my little one.  It was not fun, but we seem to finally be on the mend.

I am so ready for spring!  Aren’t you?  Just ready to shake off the winter blues, burn my sweaters and lock up the cough syrup!  Bring out the lemonade, take a walk with my kids, and see some daffodils start to show their blooms.  It’s been a long, cold winter and I am OVER IT!

I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the first signs of a meltdown where you live.

So what are you making to get in the spring spirit?

Oh, am I longing for spring!  I am leafing through rose catalogs and day dreaming about cool breezes and dirty hands.  I find myself lingering in the Easter section and imagining pastel eggs and little girls in their Easter bonnets and white Mary-Janes.

In that spirit, I’ve been busy creating this Sweet Spring tiara for a class I’ll be teaching on Saturday, March 7 at Paper Crown in Oklahoma City.   I’m making each person a kit with every single item you see here on this crown and will teach my techniques for creating it exactly. This is a sturdy crown on a flexible wire base (not a paper base) and can be worn or used for display.
